Laughter is the best medicine, and Belltown is about to get a healthy dose. The 3rd Annual Upper Left Comedy Festival is back at the Crocodile, and other Belltown venues, from April 25th to 27th, promising three days of side-splitting stand-up and performances.

With The Here-After and The Rendezvous serving as the epicenter for this laugh fest, audiences can expect a marathon of over 35 comedic acts, featuring a mix of rising stars and established stand-up veterans.

3 Years Running

This isn’t the first rodeo for The Upper Left Comedy Festival. A few years back, several Seattle creatives – Sarah Crowe, Isaac Novak and CB Shamah – joined forces to create a comedy fest. Each had experience producing live events and they were all familiar with the homegrown talent. So they pooled their skills (and their contacts) to create the Upper Left Comedy festival that would show off Seattle’s comedic creds – alongside other top talent making the rounds in the region.

This year’s lineup continues its tradition of bringing in some of the best and brightest of the Pacific Northwest. There are of course a couple of heavy hitters headlining the fest. Wally Baram, whose writing credits include the popular Apple TV series, Shrinking and HBO series Betty, will have the mic for a night.   And, Gina Brillon will bring her stand-up game as you may have seen on Late Night with Seth Meyers and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

But the laughter doesn’t stop there. The Upper Left Comedy Festival will showcase Dan Telfer, a former Senior Editor of MAD Magazine, alongside Seattle-based Vanessa Dawn, Portland funny guy Shain Brenden, and a finalist in the Seattle International Comedy festival, Harry J Riley, just to name a few.

Two years of laughter and standing ovations later, Upper Left is back for another round.
