Whiskies of the World Brighten Seattle in November
From Seattle to Kentucky, across the oceans to Japan, and to the famed Speyside region of Scotland, Whiskies of the World will be showcasing more than 100 whiskies to sample at the Rainier Club on Saturday night.
The last time there were so many whiskies gathered at The Rainier Club was in 2019, the pre-pandemic era, for the Whisky Extravaganza.
Back this year for in-person tastings, Whiskies of the World brings together 25 distillers and brands from around the world to share their finest spirits. Irish, Canadian, Japanese, Indian, Australian and Seattle’s own Copperworks distillery will be showing off their best in Bourbon and Scotch tastings.
The night also includes a couple of masterclasses (just five bucks this year) for those wanting to glean additional malt and grain knowledge from some top whisky experts in the region.
The masterclasses run about 30 minutes and will give you additional insight into the brands and the whisky – not to mention tasting an additional three or four whisky expressions. If you are into single malt whiskies, check out the 7:30 masterclass for a blind tasting experience.
Of course, a souvenir tasting glass comes along with the price of admission. And most importantly for a night of whisky tastings, there will be a plenty of food to nibble on throughout the evening.
