The Sundance Film Festival 2021 lineup is not to be missed.

For those wanting to know the latest premieres and buzz-worthy films to debut at Sundance this year – look no further. The Fest just rolled out all of the films that will make Sundance 2021 a noteworthy year.

Certainly, the fact that the fest is virtual this year is notable. But, pandemic aside, what really stands out is the slate of offerings they’ve pulled together from filmmakers around the globe.

The Sundance Film Festival kicks off with six premieres screening on January 28. To get things started, catch the latest from Baz Poonpiriya, “One For The Road.” If you are not familiar with his work, check out his fun, prankster thriller “Bad Genius” from 2017 which is currently screening on Netflix

Of the moment programming, the fest is also premiering “In The Same Breath” by filmmaker Nanfu Wang. Wang digs into the beginnings of COVID-19, along with its spread from Wuhan to the U.S.

After 70-plus features and 50 short films, the 7-day festival wraps up on February 3 with a performance by filmmaker Sam Green and musician JD Samson. Together, the duo explores the universal influence of sound in “7 Sounds.” This piece seems a fitting way to close out the fest as a meditative way to hear our everyday world – and each other.

In between, the lineup for Sundance Film Festival promises to challenge, entertain and engage us in ways that reflect the very personal stories and perspectives of filmmakers in today’s world.
