The trailer for “A Beautiful Day In the Neighborhood” was released today by Sony pictures and judging by the online chatter, the film is destined to be a hit when it’s released in theaters this coming Thanksgiving.

Starring Tom Hanks as Mister Rogers, “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” is a biopic based on a friendship that formed between journalist Tom Junod and Mister (Fred) Rogers.

If you can’t wait until Thanksgiving to get your Mister Rogers fix, you should check out the 2018 documentary, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” That doc, which relied heavily on a treasure trove of archival footage, was a film favorite at many film festivals (including SIFF) and nabbed an Independent Spirit Award for Best Documentary Feature.
