Support Local with Taste Washington 2021 Lineup

A sure sign of March madness, Taste Washington 2021 lineup has just been announced.

Last year, Taste Washington was ready to open its doors for another four-day celebration of Washington Wine. But, just before everyone’s favorite vintages were uncorked, the pandemic hit.

This year, with time to plan, Taste Washington is rolling its To Go, and At Home programs. And, instead of four-days of tasting the best wines of Washington, this year’s celebration spans the entire month of March.

With its To Go program, Taste Washington is encouraging people to directly support local wineries and restaurants. Always a worthy aim, but especially welcomed during these times.

Washington wineries will do their part with special promotions throughout the month of March. Although far too many to list here, participating wineries include the big houses we all know, to the up and comers. Head on over to Taste Washington to get the full list of wine promotions happening in March.

This year’s Taste Washington 2021 lineup also comes with celebrated Washington chefs

Each week, a chef will put their culinary spin on a Taste Washington theme that features a specific varietal. These menus will be created specifically to be paired with the featured wines of the week. Together, the chef’s takeout offering enjoyed with a bottle from one of the participating wineries should create the perfectly paired match.

Order early for the perfect pairing

Starting February 22, Taste Washington will announce six featured restaurant partners each week who will be creating a special menu for that theme.  So, if you want in on the experience you’ll want to follow Taste Washington on social for the annoucements and be ready to order. Quantities will be limited from each restaurant and are expected to sell out quickly.

More restaurants will be announced in the coming weeks, but take a look at the talent already on board:

The Whale Wins, Salare, Aerlume, Musang, Mixtape Pasta, Gravy, Kamonegi, Canlis, Sawyer, Local Tide, Hitchcock, Stateside, Restaurant Homer, Three Sacks Full, Rupee Bar, Siembra, Goldfinch Tavern, Tom Douglas Restaurants, Brothers & Co, and Tyger Tyger.

Enjoy all month, or pick and choose your favorite varietal and theme.  Here’s a look at the To Go themes and wine pairings to give you a taste of what’s to come.

Cabernet Sauvignon & Casserole (March 1-7)
Chardonnay & Catch of the Day (March 8-14)
Syrah & Barbecue (March 15-21)
Red Blends & Family Recipes (March 22-28)

If you know your way around your kitchen and prefer to put your own signature on the theme, Taste Washington has you covered with the At Home program.
