Shake Shack Empire Continues to Grow with Kirkland Opening
Doors are set to open at a new Shake Shack in Kirkland, just one month shy of last year’s opening in Seattle. This marks the second Shake Shack in Washington, adding to its near ubiquitous presence with more than 230 locations worldwide.
This Saturday, September 7, lines will undoubtedly form early outside the Kirkland Shack. As the popular burger outpost opens at 11 am, the first 100 people in line will receive a custom Shake Shack Yeti tumbler.
In addition to the Angus beef burgers and crinkle cut fries, Kirkland guests can expect some regional touches on the menu including the Shack Red and Shack Rosé wine from Washington State.
Dessert lovers are also in for a local treat with the Shack’s frozen custard concretes. Pie oh My is a custard that comes replete with pieces of seasonal pie from Seattle-based A la Mode Pies. The Shack Attack is a custard with chocolate truffle cookie dough featuring dark chocolate chunks from another Seattle favorite, Theo Chocolate.
Inside, the Shack is decked out with eco-friendly tabletops made from reclaimed bowling alley lanes. And the outside patio provides plenty of space for guests who want to enjoy their burger al fresco.
Shake Shack is in good company in its newfound location. Evergreens Salad, Caffe Ladro, Soi and Dough Zone Dumpling House are soon to call the mixed-use development, Kirkland Urban, home.
