The Seattle Asian Art Museum is set to reopen over Memorial Day weekend

For three years the Asian Art Museum was closed as it went through extensive renovations. Then, in February of last year, museum goers lined-up to get a look at the newly refurbished digs and reinstalled art.

One month later, the pandemic hit and, like the rest of the city, the museum had to shut down. Now, the museum is about to open their doors once again to pent up demand.

The Seattle Asian Art Museum is set to reopen over Memorial Day weekend. Granted, capacity will be limited due to COVID safety guidelines. But, the museum will extend its hours through opening weekend – including the holiday – to meet that demand.

Post holiday weekend, the museum will be open every Friday through Sunday from 10 am to 5pm.

Keep in mind, advance timed tickets will be required. So, if your looking to be one of the first to revisit the museum, get your tickets early. Online ticketing for reopening weekend and beyond starts April 29.

The museum also offers free admission on the last Friday of each month, starting with its reopening on Friday, May 28.
