Brooklyn-based psych-pop trio Psychic Lines takes listeners on a trip to sunny Los Angeles with their latest release, “LA in My Mind.” The track, along with its just released music video, is a dreamy escape to the City of Angels, all while staying firmly rooted in the hustle and bustle of New York City.

The song, a lush and expansive preview of the band’s upcoming fifth studio album SUNSET ON SUNSET (out August 23rd), is grounded with a steady bassline that moves the track forward. Singer-songwriter Phil Jacob’s melodic musings paint a picture of Los Angeles as a place of fantasy and longing, contrasting the city’s iconic image with reality. The track’s ethereal soundscape is heightened by the addition of bassist Dann Baker and drummer Tim Simmonds.

The music video, directed by Art Morera, blends the spirit of Los Angeles with the gritty charm of New York City – mixing California dreaming within an urban landscape. It all adds up to a dreamy, if not illusive, atmosphere.

“LA in My Mind” from Psychic Lines is available now on all streaming platforms, and SUNSET ON SUNSET is available for pre-order.
