Mixy Music Monday: Boutique Feelings Drops “0 Goes”

Boutique Feelings returns with “0 Goes,” the second single from his debut album Shwaya, Shwaya, set to release on November 21 via Mothland. The track takes a different approach from the energetic punch of “Long Shore.” The track takes its time, combining hip-hop and trip-hop while touching on the struggle between ambition and self-sabotage.
“I think ‘0 Goes’ is self-reflection. The idea of self-sabotage and imposter syndrome that continuously gets in the way of believing in yourself,” said Karim Lakhdar, the man behind Boutique Feelings. It’s a minimal groove. Hi-hat patterns skip over a down-picked bassline while layered synths build atmosphere without overwhelming the space. Guest vocalist Laura Sauvage delivers choruses that stick, and Lakhdar adds some rapid-fire rhymes during the bridge that pop.
Shwaya, Shwaya was mostly recorded in Lakhdar’s home office using limited equipment. He relied on field recordings and in-the-box production to keep the sound intimate and focused. Lakhdar handled vocals, guitar, synthesizers, bass, drum machine, and sampler, crafting a record that feels personal yet expansive.
“0 Goes” has Boutique Feelings moving from energetic songs to a slower, more thoughtful pace. The track pairs honest, reflective lyrics with a steady, hypnotic groove. By the end, it leaves listeners with a clear sense of his style and shows that Lakhdar isn’t afraid to explore more personal, quieter moments in his music.
