Lil Woody’s Burger Month Kicks off with Global Inspiration
Lil Woody’s Burger Month goes global this year.
Once again, Lil Woody’s has assembled some of Seattle’s finest in celebration of Burger Month. What does that mean for you? Four featured burgers, by four notable chefs, all inspired globally.
Throwback Burger
If you can’t wait until February, Lil Woody’s kicks things off on January 26 with the Throwback Burger. Outgoing Canlis chef, Brady Williams, reprises his popular “Good Old Burger.” Last year, this classic featured a 28-day dry-aged grilled beef patty with Yubeshi onions on a potato bun.
The Brady Williams inspired burger at Lil Woody’s is available January 26 – February 1
Gully Sandwich
The owners of Spice Waala, Aakanksha Sinha and Uttam Mukherjee, pull in some spices of New Delhi for their creation. The Gully sandwich is a nod to the spiced chicken that Sinha and Mukherjee would have on the gully’s (or streets) of India. Expect some Cilantro Chutney, pickled onions and garlic chili to round out this flavor-packed sandwich.
The Aakanksha Sinha and Uttam Mukherjee inspired sandwich at Lil Woody’s is available February 2 – February 8
Cochiloco Burger
Before gracing the kitchen’s of several Seattle restaurants, Ricardo Valdes spent his formative years in southern California. He points to his grandmother’s love of food and community as an influence in his cooking. His Mexican street food inspired burger certainly bears that out. Along with some heat and aggressive seasonings, Valdes tops his Cochiloco burger Seattle style – with a jalapeno popper and cream cheese.
The Ricardo Valdes inspired burger at Lil Woody’s is available February 9 – February 15
Du Sud
Daisley Gordon has been holding down his corner of Pike Place Market for 25 years with Café Campagne. For Lil Woody’s, Daisley pulls together the perfect combination of ground lamb and ground beef to create the French inspired Du Sud. Harissa red pepper mayo, some capers and whipped goat cheese finish off this burger which promises to be as timeless as a French bistro.
The Daisley Gordon inspired burger at Lil Woody’s is available February 16 – February 22
Neon Torta
Pulled pork, avocado mayo, cabbage cilantro slaw, sauteed onions, jalapenos, and cojita. The Neon Torta is the perfect way to end Lil Woody’s annual Burger Month. Monica Dimas of Little Neon Taco brings this inspired Torta to us by way of the torta spots that can be found in the Condesa and Roma neighborhoods of Mexico City. These delightful tortas are served up between a Little Neon house-made telera.
The Monica Dimas inspired torta at Lil Woody’s is available February 23 – March 1
You can find these weekly featured burgers at all three Lil Woody’s locations. If you purchase all four of the burgers during the month you can receive a pair of limited-edition, 100% upcycled cotton, Lil Woody’s socks from Arvin Goods.
