Lil Woody’s Celebrates Seafood Month with a Fishy Collaboration
Seattle’s go-to burger joint, Lil Woody’s, is gearing up for its fourth annual Seafood Month, running from August 6 to September 2. If you’re a seafood lover you’ll want to hit up Lil Woody’s all month long as some of Seattle’s most talented chefs will be serving their personal take on our favorite creatures of the deep.
Every celebration deserves a pre-game so Lil Woody’s is serving up their own fan-favorite, the Filet-Oh-Fish starting today. This twist on a classic fast-food staple features beer-battered and fried cod, a special pickle-y tartar sauce, shredded lettuce, pickles, onions, and American cheese, all served on Lil Woody’s signature bun.
Following this pescatarian prelude, four local chefs will take turns showcasing their seafood creations:
August 6-12: Kamala Saxton and Roz Edison of Marination present the “Saucy Lil’ Devil,” featuring panko-breaded fried rockfish with a unique deviled spam tartar sauce.
August 13-19: Jeremy Thunderbird of Native Soul Cuisine offers “The Coastal,” a smoked salmon patty with sharp white cheddar, arugula, and BBQ berry sauce.
August 20-26: Stevie Allen from Emerald City Fish & Chips brings his “Emerald City Catfish Sandwich,” combining fried catfish with remoulade, lettuce, and tomato.
August 27-September 2: Keiji Tsukasaki of LTD Edition Sushi closes out the month with the “LTD Edition Burger,” featuring sake-marinated black cod with cabbage and white miso aioli.
Each chef’s creation reflects their distinctive culinary background and singular flavors, so skip Burger King’s BK Big Fish this month and head to the nearest Lil Woody’s. Visit here for more info on the participating chefs and their menus.
