The Golden Space Needle Awards were handed out this afternoon, which means it’s an official wrap on the 49th Seattle International Film Festival.

If you attended a SIFF screening over the past 11-days, you have undoubtedly been handed a ballot and asked to rate the film you were about to see. Hopefully you made that tear mark in the ballot (rating from 1 to 5) after the film’s final frame.

At an awards ceremony on Sunday at the Grand Hyatt, filmmakers, producers, film programmers, and industry insiders gathered as they awaited the results over brunch and Bloody Mary’s.

There were also Jury Awards at stake. Jurors made their top picks known in the Short Films Competition, New American Cinema Competition, Documentary Competition, Ibero-American Competition, Official Competition, and New Directors Competition.

In addition to the honor of being singled out with a top prize at SIFF, winning filmmakers were also sent home with $5,000 in prize money.

Here’s a look at who took home the top awards. And, if there are any films on this list that you didn’t see, there is a good chance you can screen them online. SIFF is not quite done yet as it continues with online screenings through May 28.
