Jazz Alley has you covered this summer with plenty of jazz, R&B, soul, funk and gospel.

Jazz Alley continues to be a haven for music lovers in Seattle.  The artist line-up for the next several months continues to expand, both in the number of top acts taking to the stage and the style of music they bring with them.

From jazz and R&B to soul, funk and gospel, there is no shortage of musical influences that promises to start your night off right.

This week, Christian McBride returns to Jazz Alley for a two night stand. You’re likely to hear a little bit of all of those musical inputs with his new project called “A Christian McBride Situation.” Tickets my be hard to come by, if they’re not already sold out.

There will be a bit of Pacific Northwest connection as the band takes the stage. The quintet includes Nicole Glover on sax – a native Oregonian. Born in Portland, Glover is currently based in New York, where she has had residencies at some of our favorite clubs in that city including SMOKE, Smalls and Fat Cat (now Cellar Dog).

If you weren’t able to score tickets to McBride’s latest stand, there are plenty of more acts to catch in the coming months at Jazz Alley that are sure to fit your groove.

Word to the wise, check out the calendar here and get your tix early. There is rarely an empty seat at Jazz Alley come performance time.

We’re almost half way through June, but there are plenty of more acts that will be coming through over the next couple of weeks.
