Forget Peanuts and Cracker Jacks, Seattle Mariners Roll Out New Food Items – Including Moto Pizza

Ok, peanuts and Cracker Jacks are always going to be a go-to classic. But, the Mariners are adding other soon to be classic foods into the mix – including Moto Pizza.

At a recent press preview, the Mariners set the table for what fans can expect as they settle in for nine innings of baseball.

One of the stars of the preview was MOTO Pizza (sorry, Julio).  Originally setting up shop in West Seattle, MOTO is so popular that it has had pizza fans ordering their pies months in advance. Now, the wait will be much shorter for those enjoying America’s favorite pastime at T-Mobile Park.

MOTO is not the only pizza game at the ballpark. Chef Ethan Stowell is back with his thin crust pie (perfect for the New York fold), while treating fans to a new Cal Raleigh-inspired dish. This doughy Italian turnover is aptly named the “Cal Zone.”

And, with the new rules that have quickened the pace between pitches, the Mariners also unveiled three new Walk-Off Markets. With the “Just Walk Out” technology, fans can get back to their seats before the pitch clock runs down to zero.

Burgers also make an appearance in the lineup. T-Mobile Park Executive Chef Javier Rosa was on hand at the press preview to unveil his new, Big League Burger. This big leaguer comes with ¼ pound fresh American Wagyu patty, chargrilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles and American cheese. Of course, no burger would be complete without a chef’s secret housemade sauce.

With the overlap of Mariners baseball and Kraken hockey this would be the perfect opportunity to have a burger taste-off. Grab a Big League Burger at T-Mobile Park, and then head to Climate Pledge Arena. There you’ll find Molly D’s Royal Double Deluxe burger created by Molly De Mers, executive chef at Climate Pledge arena. You’re sure to love them both!

There are so many offerings that repeat visits to the ballpark will definitely be necessary, an enjoyable outing given the Mariners recent play.

Here is a list of new food offerings and where you can track them down.

Chick Chick Boom

Hope you have game when it comes to knowing your emojis. Chick Chick Boom serves up the chicken along with classic garlic waffle fries – you’ll just need to have your youngster in tow to help navigate the emoji-only menu.

The Walk-Off Market

With the addition of three new locations, T-Mobile Park can claim to have the most walk-out style markets in the country. Grab some Just Poke or Din Tai Fung dumplings and wontons  (sections 141 and 126) or some beer and cider (sections 185 and 341) – and go!

Ballard Pizza

Find the ‘Cal-Zone” and  New York-style thin crust Pizza from Ethan Stowell the ‘Pen and Terrace Club (section 241).

Big League Burger

Join the big leagues with the Big League Burger at section 218 and 340. Mariners Dog, chicken tenders, and garlic/ regular fries are also part of the lineup.

Din Tai Fung

In addition to the Walk-Off Markets, Din Tai Fung will be serving up their pork and veggie bao buns and spicy chicken wonton soup in section 132, as well as the ‘Pen.

Edgar’s Cantina

Look for a new crispy fish taquito and shrimp quesadillas at the Cantina. Chef Javier has also updated some of the fan favorites including BBQ brisket quesadillas served with a grilled pineapple and pico de gallo in a crisp flour tortilla, and the cantina nachos.

Holy Smoke BBQ

Speaking of BBQ, get your house-smoked meats from Holy Smoke BBQ near section 105 and 113. This year they’ve added a brisket sandwich, sticky smoked wings, and the monstrous Holy Moly Loaded Baked Potato with pulled pork, jalapeno cheese sauce drizzled crema and green onions.

Marination

Marination puts the “sexy” back in tofu. Head to section 119 for their new luau plate offering up ginger miso chicken. The plate comes with returning options of Kalua pork and “sexy tofu” with Hawaiian-style macaroni salad, slaw and rice. Also, their sought after fresh mango lemonade is a welcome addition.

Moto Pizza

Making its Seattle sports venue debut this May, West Seattle-based Moto Pizza will bring its deep dish style pizza to T-Mobile Park. Self-described as “Seattle’s Odd Pizza,” fans can dig into the creative flavor combinations including THE PIG from this wildly popular local restaurant, bypassing the month-long wait lists to snag a slice at its current location.

Salt & Straw

Salt & Straw is offering up an exclusive flavor available only to Mariner fans at T-Mobile. Well, I’m sure they’ll sell the ice cream to fans of the opposing team as well. The tempting concoction is made up of Beecher’s flagship cheese with apple pie cinnamon rolls crumbled and added in, creating an “ooey gooey cinnamon swirl.”

Value Menu

Yes! We all love the Value Menu, and it’s back in 2023 – with even more value items, health concious and otherwise. This season,  Uncrustables pocket sandwiches, apple slices, carrots and ranch, hummus and pretzels, and ice cream sandwiches join the team. Value Menu locations are marked throughout the ballpark.

Value Beers

And, yes! We all love Value Beers, which are back this season. Available throughout the ballpark at various locations, 12 beers will be offered up at $5 and $6 for 12oz cans.

As opening day is just a week away, it’s clear that the Mariners are fielding a playoff contending line-up both on, and off the field.
