Filson Event Honors Popeye, Continues Seattle Tattoo Trend

Filson continues the tattoo trend in Seattle with an event in honor of its newest Popeye gear.

First, MoPOP’s exhibit celebrating the tattoo opened up this month. Now, Filson is getting in to the action with its celebration of their US-made Popeye gear. Filson is known for its quality outdoor gear, but also for the parties they throw.

Teaming up with the buzzy Mean Sandwich, the Filson event unveils its latest Popeye gear over beer and burgers, and a tattoo! The festivities kick-off at 7pm on Feb 13 with a tattoo pop-up by Rempe.

If you’re not a slave to the needle, grab a beer, a Whimpy burger and check out Filson’s new US-made Popeye gear. You can always expect a crowd. But, given the intimate size of Mean Sandwich, along with the free beer and burgers, this event should fill up fast.

You can always RSVP, but that doesn’t guarantee you a timed spot. The event runs until 10 pm, but it’s recommended you show up early.

There will be giveaways throughout the night. And, there will be live music by MONSTERWATCH that will ratchet things up as the Popeye revelry heads into the evening.

No word yet if canned spinach is part of the deal.
