CrackleCrème Pops Up on Bainbridge with Craft-style Desserts

CrackleCrème is headed down Interstate 5 and giving us all another excuse to visit Bainbridge Island. Not that an excuse is needed.

Vancouver B.C.-based, CrackleCrème will bring its gourmet crème brûlée to Ba Sa Restaurant on Bainbridge Island. There’s one dessert I find almost impossible to pass up, and that’s crème brûlée. And after seeing the sweet offerings our friends up north will bring with them, a ferry ride is definitely in my future.

The crème brûlée come housed in mini mason jars for $8 and offer six flavors: Madagascar Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Dulce de Leche, Ferrero Rocher, Baileys, and Vegan Matcha. If crème brûlée is not your thing (hard to believe), you’ll also find plenty of macarons to choose from. Better yet, those macrons will look a lot like Hello Kitty, Pokémon and others. How fun is that?

Tom Vu, a cousin to Ba Sa’s sibling chefs Trinh and Thai Nguyen, is the mastermind behind Crackle Crème in Vancouver. Vu will be on Bainbridge Island to set up shop on December 21 and 22. But, you only have a two-hour window (10am – 12pm) on either day to score some sweets.

Enjoy your brûlée at Ba Sa, or if you’re an island hopper, they also make the perfect ferry snack.

Ba Sa is located at 101 Winslow Way East on Bainbridge Island in Washington.
