5 Reasons to Mix It Up at Seattle Cocktail Week

From bonfires to brunches, Seattle Cocktail Week makes its return with a flurry of events.

Seattle has long been known for its stellar bar scene. Not to mention the many amazing bartenders that deftly juice up any mood or occasion.

Next Monday, Seattle’s cocktail talent (and their visiting peers) will commix into one big week-long celebration. After a two-year hiatus, Seattle Cocktail Week is back and will showcase Seattle bars, bartenders and the brands that make up those soul satisfying elixirs.

With nearly 50 events to choose from it would not be advisable, or even possible, to hit them all up, even if you wanted to.

With that in mind, here’s a pick for each day of Cocktail Week – knowing you would never miss the big event on Saturday.

Monday, February 28
Mountaineering Club
5 p.m.

Death & Co. Presents Welcome Home. The Death & Co team takes over the bar at The Mountaineering Club. Imbibe for charity as this event benefits Another Round Another Rally. Tickets include a welcome cocktail, a special sunset toast, and a copy of the Welcome Home book.

Tuesday, March 1
Roquette
7 – 11 p.m.

Trick Dog X Mr. Black X Roquette. You never need an excuse to enjoy some cold brew coffee liqueur as part of your cocktail. But if you’re looking for one, this event serves as your perfect rationale.
BONUS: Duck into Hotel Sorrento between 7 – 10 p.m. for some Crystal Head vodka and live music from local faves Breaks & Swells (whose drummer is Seattle barkeep Derrick Jones).

Wednesday, March 2
Navy Strength
8 – 11 p.m.

Cocktails and karaoke make a perfect combination. Right?! It’s your time to shine. Get those vocal chords warmed up with cocktails featuring Big Gin & Timberline Vodka. After that, it’s all on you.

Thursday, March 3
Jarr Bar
5 – 8 p.m.

Aperitivo Hour. Sip on some no and low proof cocktails with Mommenpop and Martini & Rossi, while enjoying some small bites. It’s a very civilized way to start off the evening.

Friday, March 4
Dreamland Bar & Diner
11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Dreamland Drag Brunch with Banhez Mezcal. Need we say more? Enjoy this special edition of Dream Girls Drag Brunch on Dreamland’s covered, heated patio. The fun starts at noon, advanced reservations are strongly encouraged.

Saturday, March 5
Bell Harbor Conference Center
12 – 4 p.m.
6 – 10 p.m.

The week-long celebration culminates with a “carnival of cocktails” at the Cocktail District. Vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey and everything in between. Cocktail District distills it all down with over 100 brands represented. There will be demos, tastings, and no tax retail shopping for your favorite spirits. Ticket prices vary starting at $64.99 and include 12 tasting tokens that can redeemed for either a spirit tasting or a mini cocktail.
