Even with the crazy shifts in weather we’ve been experiencing, it’s safe to say summer is sitting at Seattle’s front door. What better way to celebrate than cracking open a beer and cheering on your favorite team during a World Cup watch party.

I recently had the chance to tip back the new Jacktail Hazy IPA from Elysian Brewing and I’m definitely a fan.

The beer is a nod to the Pacific Northwest, brewed with Citra and Idaho 7 hops. It pours hazy and delivers straightforward flavors of mango, papaya, and citrus zest. The beer clocks in at 6.1% ABV, offering a smooth and slightly sweet finish without the typical heavy bitterness you get from some of the IPA’s out there. 

Lucky for us, Jacktail is joining the permanent Elysian lineup, putting it right next to the heavy hitter, Space Dust IPA, which currently ranks as the country’s number four IPA.

If you want to try it, Jacktail is already rolling out across the West. Look for it on draft at local bars, in 19.2-ounce tallboys, or in six-packs at your regular grocery run. You can also spot the nearest supply using the beer finder on the Elysian website.

Finally, there is a deal you should know about if you want to stock your fridge. This Saturday, June 13th, Elysian is hosting a dock sale at their Capitol Hill and Elysian Fields locations. They are selling 24-can cases of Juice Dust IPA for just $24. You have to buy the full case and it is only happening at the two Elysian spots, so plan accordingly.
