Actualize AiR's home in Pioneer Square

Update: Actualize is back, this time in Pioneer Square. The arts organization has landed in a new street-level space and is opening the doors with Intervals, a group show organized by its artists-in-residence. The opening also marks Actualize AiR’s first stop on the Pioneer Square Art Walk, with drinks, music, and a come-as-you-are vibe as the space settles into its new neighborhood. RSVP for the opening on January 8 and check out their new digs at 112 Prefontaine Place South.

Looking for a party with purpose this Friday night? Actualize AiR, the artist collective that turned the old downtown Seattle Coliseum into a creative playground, is hosting one final bash before moving to a new home in Pioneer Square.

The group recently wrapped its Summer Showcase in July, the final exhibit in the historic Coliseum Theater space. Curated by resident artist Mary Anne Carter, the show featured new work from 27 resident artists, closing out a lively chapter for the organization.

Now, Actualize AiR is inviting the community back one more time for a free, all-ages “fun-raiser” filled with art, music, and some surprises along the way. DJs will spin and karaoke has been promised to break out, as party guests are surrounded by all of the carnival trappings like balloon animals, haunted hallways, and face painting. Of course, no party would be complete without a little nosh. Expect the classics like hot dogs, popcorn and cotton candy. This is a fundraiser, so don’t be shy when it comes to buying those raffle tickets.

This farewell event celebrates that creative energy while setting the stage for a new beginning in Pioneer Square. The celebration kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday at the Coliseum downtown. Free and open to all ages.
