Bumbershoot 2025 Lineup: Weezer, Janelle Monáe, Among Top Acts

Seattle’s Bumbershoot Arts & Music Festival returns Labor Day weekend with a diverse 2025 lineup, featuring headliners Weezer, Janelle Monáe, Bright Eyes, Car Seat Headrest, and Sylvan Esso. Now in its 52nd year, the city’s flagship summer festival will once again transform Seattle Center into a hub of creativity, culture, and community on August 30–31.
The two-day event, known for its cross-disciplinary programming, will feature dozens of performances across genres, along with extensive visual art installations, culinary showcases, fashion activations, and immersive family-friendly zones.
Saturday’s schedule will be anchored by California alt-rock mainstays Weezer, alongside indie veterans Bright Eyes and Car Seat Headrest. Other notable Saturday performers include The Budos Band, Tank and the Bangas, Indigo De Souza, and Seattle post-hardcore favorites Pretty Girls Make Graves. Local artists such as Tezatalks, Great Grandpa, and Fleetwood Snack round out the day, offering a broad spectrum of sounds from punk to R&B to experimental pop.
On Sunday, the festival shifts toward more electronic and genre-blending acts, with headlining performances by Norwegian art-pop artist Aurora, the ever-evolving Janelle Monáe, and synth-pop duo Sylvan Esso. The Bumbershoot lineup also includes Digable Planets who will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal album Blowout Comb, joined by a mix of acts including Real Estate, Saba, The Linda Lindas, and The Murder City Devils. Local talents like Small Paul and Vic Daggs II add to the community-centric bill.
