Salish Lodge & Spa Unveils a Fresh Take on a Classic with The Restaurant & Terrace Bar

Salish Lodge & Spa has officially reopened its signature dining space—this time with a new concept and a fully reimagined menu. The Restaurant & Terrace Bar offers a twist on the classic American steakhouse, rooted in the flavors and ingredients of the Pacific Northwest.
At a recent press preview, we had the chance to experience the updated space and sample highlights from the new Restaurant & Terrace Bar menu at Salish Lodge. The iconic views from the property remain as dramatic as ever. Just steps from your table, you can take in the stunning Snoqualmie Falls, while expansive windows provide sweeping views of the valley and river below to admire the sunset or the moody, atmospheric fog settling in.

Classic Steakhouse Menu
The starters on the menu include a lineup of steakhouse standbys like a classic romaine Caesar salad, Dungeness crab cakes with sumac remoulade, and a savory lobster bisque. We went old school and ordered the wedge salad, a satisfyingly crisp and creamy affair topped with candied bacon, cherry tomatoes, pickled red onion, and a smokey blue cheese dressing.

When it comes to the menu’s centerpiece, premium dry-aged beef sourced from Royal Ranch in Washington State rules the day. Think New York strip, filet mignon, and a hearty bone-in ribeye. We opted for the 18 oz., 21-day dry-aged Delmonico, which arrived with a flawless sear and a tender, flavor-packed interior. Guests can elevate their steaks with classic enhancements like au poivre, béarnaise, or roasted bone marrow. We went with the Rogue Creamery smokey blue cheese, which brought a perfectly balanced kick of smoky, nutty richness to the dish.
Traditional steakhouse sides are well represented—grilled asparagus, hand-cut fries, and a fully loaded baked potato, to name a few. One standout? The buttermilk whipped potatoes. Indulgently buttery, the potatoes were finished with a simple sprinkle of fresh chives.
Seafood lovers won’t be disappointed. The menu includes halibut, salmon, and jumbo prawns stuffed with Dungeness crab. But the showstopper is the Salish Signature Cut Alaskan king crab legs which can be enjoyed before your main dish. Sweet and rich, they can be served chilled or warm—on this night, we went warm, and dipping the tender meat in drawn butter hit the spot.

Vegetarian and vegan diners will also find thoughtfully crafted options, all anchored in seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
Honey from Heaven
Some of the most cherished traditions at the new Salish Lodge restaurant remain intact. The famous “Honey from Heaven” service—a warm drizzle of house-harvested honey poured tableside—still sweetens the experience. And yes, the beloved Country Breakfast continues to be a staple.
From wine to cocktails, the beverage program highlights the best of the Northwest. One standout: The Dale Cooper, a nod to the Twin Peaks icon, made with Kur Gin and Salish Dry Honey Cider. Spirit-free options are also available for those going booze-free.
The renovation, led by MG2 Architecture and Absher Construction, has expanded the restaurant’s footprint to over 3,100 square feet. Outside, the new Terrace Bar and Patio add an additional 1,237 square feet of heated, covered space—perfect for cozy, year-round dining. The firepits in the Sunset area make for an inviting spot to enjoy an evening cocktail with a view.
