LA-based singer-songwriter Breymer, also known as Sarah Walk, has released their latest single “The Feeling (When I See You).” Co-written with Ukrainian-American composer Julia Piker, the track is a musing on envy and the expereince of recognizing and fighting against that emotion.

“The Feeling (When I See You)” is the newest teaser track from Breymer’s upcoming album “When I Get Through,” set to drop on October 18 via One Little Independent Records. The album explores Walk’s own journey of self-discovery and gender identity.

“Sometimes, seeing people that embody characteristics I admire or people who have made choices that I wish I had the courage to make comes in the form of inspiration, but sometimes, particularly in weaker moments, it can mask as jealousy or envy,” shared Walker. “‘Why am I not like that?’ I think recognizing how closely these emotions can exist helped me uncover the truth about what I wanted my body to look like, and the lengths at which denial can go to cover it up in the form of envy or judgment.”

To kick off the album’s release, Breymer will hit the road with three special performances in New York City, Los Angeles, and their hometown of Minneapolis. These shows will feature multidisciplinary visual art by Santo Jacobsson and Marco DaSilva, among others. Sales from these events will go to support gender-affirming care.

Along with the new single, Breymer has dropped an intimate, in-studio performance video of the song.
