Mixy Music Monday: State Champs New Video and Seattle Show
Pop-punk powerhouse State Champs has released a new music video for their track “Too Late To Say,” giving us a taste of what to expect from their upcoming self-titled album. Set to drop on November 8 via Pure Noise Records, this fifth studio album marks the latest from the band and their nearly 15-year musical journey.
After forming in 2010, lead singer Derek DiScanio, bassist Ryan Scott Graham, guitarist Tyler Szalkowski, and drummer Evan Ambrosio found themselves navigating new personal milestones – marriage, parenthood, and moves across the country – all of which brought fresh dynamics to the band.
While the song gives off a youthful and polished vibe, “Too Late To Say” touches on deeper themes of fear and self-discovery. Along those lines, State Champs’ self-titled album promises to showcase the band’s signature high-energy sound while injecting their music with new perspectives and experience.
To support the album release, State Champs will hit the road on a North American tour this fall. The tour’s bill will include Knuckle Puck, Meet Me at The Altar, and Daisy Grenade. Kicking off on November 8 State Champs will hit major cities across the U.S., including a stop in Seattle at Showbox SoDo on November 16. Their tour wraps a few weeks later in New York City.
