Northwest Agave Fest is Back with Ultimate Tequila and Mezcal Tasting
Northwest Agave Fest, the largest tequila and mezcal tasting event in the Pacific Northwest, makes its way back to Seattle. There has been a slight name change, but the mission remains the same. For six years running, the Agave Fest celebrates Mexican culture with all things 100% agave.
This year, the fest brings more than 100 agave spirits to the table for tasting. Two sessions will take place on September 28 at Block 41 in Seattle.
In addition to the spirits, each session features distillers, producers and brand reps who can answer all your agave questions. An array of savory and sweet bites from local restaurants will also be available throughout the evening.
Northwest Agave Fest Hosts Cocktail Competition
As in years past, Northwest Agave Fest holds a regional cocktail competition where, to the victor goes the spoils. In this case, a coveted trip to Mexico for an expert-guided, four-day, three-night tour through tequila country.
Featuring top bartenders from the region, the competition has 10 hopefuls face-off with a shaker, jigger and Casa Noble tequila. The bartender who impresses the judges most with their final creation is headed to Mexico. But, not before the winning cocktail is featured at the Northwest Agave Fest on September 28.
The competition takes place at Heartwood Provisions on September 9th at 9PM. Open to the public, everyone is encouraged to stop by for a drink and to cheer on their favorite bartender.
