Day In Day Out announces its full line-up as ticket go on sale this Friday.

Like many of us, you may be jonesing for the return of outdoor music festivals. Well it appears that the summer of 2022 should scratch that itch.

As we wrote last July, the newest music festival to take root in Seattle was Day In Day Out. The fest successfully pulled off a two-day jam, even in the midst of everyone still trying to figure out Covid protocols.

This year, they’re back and have expanded the bill over one more day, August 12-14, at Fisher Pavilion. Day In Day Out just dropped its full line-up and, judging from the acts, tickets should be snatched up pretty quickly.

The three-day fest includes crowd pleasers like The National, hardcore punk band -Turnstile, Japanese Breakfast, and Australia-based rapper Sampa the Great. Seattle-based faves Shabazz Palaces and Hollis will also be taking the stage.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 4.

Of course, Day In Day Out isn’t the only area summer fest. Capitol Hill Block Party (July 22-24) recently announced their slate of musicians. And, Thing (August 26-28) in Port Townsend named over 30 acts that will soon be descending on the Olympic Peninsula.

Bottom line: live outdoor music is back with a vengeance this summer. Take your pick or hit them all up (we plan to). Either Way, this is shaping up to be a sweet-sounding summer and you can’t go wrong.
