‘Thing’ music festival is back and ready to showcase a diverse line-up of musical acts and other art happenings. After selling out their inaugural fest in 2019, the popular fest returns this summer (post-pandemic) August 26-28.

Spread throughout the 434 acres of Fort Worden Park in Port Townsend, the three-day fest will play out on four stages and host plenty of new musical acts to discover.  ‘Thing’ will also featured some tried, true and fan favorites bands like one of the headliners, Modest Mouse.

Also on the line-up, Jungle, out of the UK, should also keep things moving.

Over 30 acts plan on making their way to the peninsula this summer. Grammy nominated Hiatus Kaiyote from Melbourne will be playing their take on contemporary soul. Arooj Aftab will be playing their take on indigenous soul. And for that perfect blend of soul with jazz, R&B and rock and roll, the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio will make the trip up from Seattle that weekend.

There will be plenty of more international and local acts to discover that cross over all genres.

If you’ve been missing Sasquatch!, head to the peninsula for ‘Thing,’ which just happens to be produced by Adam Zack, founder of Sasquatch! Seattle Theatre Group (STG) also has a hand in the fest, so expect some art, dance, and theater to be part of the overall mix of the music line-up at ‘Thing.’
